@toroidalcore Personally, I've been enjoying Bazzite over the past year on my gaming PC, which I think is a spin-off from Fedora Silverblue.
It's an immutable distro, meaning the OS install is basically read-only and updated atomically all at once.
I haven't bothered to learn much more than that, because I got tired of futzing with linux distros.
IMO, that's been the neat part - it's been working and getting updates without me doing much of anything smart or clued-in
@toroidalcore I think it's more of an image diff / overlay download than a full image. And yeah, it's full versioned OS updates - not a system library or package at a time but a whole set of upgrades applied and tested together.
