So I have this pair of Sony WH-1000XM3 noise cancelling headphones that are going on 5 years old.
I really like them - they were my first "nice" pair of wireless headphones with noise cancelling. They've been on so many trips with me and are what I use almost every night when I game on the couch.
But, they have this design flaw where a tiny little bridge of plastic cracks over time and the headband sliders fall to pieces. I'd addressed it for a couple years with a tight wrap of gaffer tape, but that never lasted.
Looks like someone designed some printable "splints" to slide over the broken side panels. Printed mine in PETG, 🤞 so far so good?
I'm mulling over new headphones, but these were a lil spendy and I really want to squeeze all the use out of them

@tbortels Yeah, I'm kind of the notion that their hardware & software has to be perfect to justify the rest of it to me. And, well, it's far from that and getting further as far as I can tell

Sometimes I wish I could go back in time and tell anxious past versions of me "you're fine, this is fine, it gets worse than this" and that would oddly be comforting to my previous iterations
