My wife took Catsby to the vet in a little fluffy sack thing, because he is so scared of outings. Now the techs are discussing when and whether to let the cat out of the bag. #cats
Catsby is really not an outgoing cat. I am his primary person, so he is constantly clingy and goofy with me. But, he hides for any other person - except my wife, with whom he is visible but wary.
When we first adopted him, he lived under an entertainment center for a week and then behind a couch for a month. It was a huge victory when he finally ventured out to tentatively sit next to me on top of that couch
Good news is Catsby's at the vets for just a general checkup, since (knock on wood) he's doing pretty great otherwise after he started getting meds for an angry digestive system

My perspective on cars in general mainly centers around that I miss my little 2004 Ford Focus hatchback that looked like a shuttlecraft, could haul a washing machine, and played MP3 CDs. I've never quite gotten back to that high
The only car I liked better than that was my first car - a 1983 AMC Eagle 4x4 Station Wagon that my dad found for me used for $500.
But, the previous owner had driven it off the highway and through a roadside billboard with apparently little damage. (Did you know the legs of those used to be sawed half-way through so collisions with them wouldn't be so bad?)
Turned out the damage was one of the drive axle boots got torn, which let dirt & rocks in, eventually causing one of the front wheels to come off and cruise away without me.
I will say I'm pretty fond of our current Subaru Outback, though I wish it wasn't all computer
@bumbervevo My Focus got totaled on the freeway, alas. Some dude entered the freeway in front of me and then decided to come to a full stop and reverse back toward the ramp. That Focus had pretty great airbags and crumple zones though
@webology Yeah, I will say that I super appreciated lane assist, smart cruise control, and auto braking when I took the thing on a 10 hour road trip. First car we've had with all that included. That's good computer.

I see Elden Ring is 40% off on Steam... tempting because I've never played it and some folks have raved about it. But also, I've never played it because I suspect I might hate it. And I never played any of the "souls-like" games that preceded it. And also it has a big "git gud" smell around it from jerks.
