I dreamed that, for some unavoidable reason, I ended up having to go work for an escape room. And they wanted me to work a 996 schedule like they do in China.

I was like, why do you need me for 72 hours a week? And they were like, the founder needs you here in case they come up with a new escape room idea and we need to reconfigure everything. Also, they were like, and you need to start pitching escape room ideas yourself too.

And then I woke up.

There are contractors in the house today and the cats are locked in the basement. There are desperate meows and the scent of strangers wafts through the air. We are unsettled, this morning.

Today, in a meeting, someone recommended a book about web3 to me in all earnestness and I had to spend so many willpower points not to make a face of abject horror

I love seeing discourse around the theme of "If it's encrypted, then it's secure!"

us politics; OPSEC; butter emails

I am quite perturbed that I have been a part of EVE Online corporations with vastly better OPSEC and SIGINT than apparently my nation's own real world federal government

re: us politics; OPSEC; butter emails

Like, it's bad enough that some chucklefuck in that group thread fat-fingered the autocomplete to add the wrong bud from the address book.

But what's worse is that no other dipshit in the invite list thought to look around at who else was in attendance and maybe double check who they were talking to.
