Finished watching season 2 of Pantheon last night. Man, the last few episodes in the series really give the thing one of the better comprehensive endings I've seen in this sort of AI / upload story. One of the few AI / upload stories I've seen that really leans into the power & necessity of pro-social cooperation and relationships (i.e. love)
Also just finished reading @susankayequinn 's Nothing is Promised series and yeah, that was great.
Connected series of characters and plots about the power of connected characters dealing with a plot. Had me a lil weepy at spots, especially toward the epilogue.
I need to read more solarpunk / hopepunk.

I love things like this as a tinkering nerd... So I found this little USB-C module that seems like it works decently as a tiny light-duty bench power supply with several available voltages.
It comes as a bare PCB, but of course someone has modeled a case for it that took me 15 minutes to print

A thing I keep thinking about today, as all kinds of services & such seem far from stable or granted lately:
I can't quite imagine what it would be like not to have weather forecasts. Even the semi-unreliable ones we have now.
Like, it's really warm and sunny here in Portland right now. Barely a cloud in the sky.
But, I hear that, in just a few hours, it's possible to get very very nasty. Like winds, hail, maybe tornadoes. Imagine having no clue it's coming.
