A little surprisingly, my continued torture of several AI models eventually yielded the solution of using a Python context manager to ATTACH and DETACH an external SQLite database. Not the worst solution?

Went for a bike ride! (yay)

Broke my bike half-way through! (boo)

I was a block away from my usual bike store! (yay)

I took the bike in and they said they've never seen that happen before? (boo)

I left the bike with them and rented a pretty nice city e-bike to ride home, even stopped by the booze store for some Campari (yay)

Seriously, some of these Biketown e-bikes in Portland are surprisingly beefy with their pedal assist #pdx

My current guess at what broke my bike is that I am a Big Guy who stepped down Too Hard at a green light and made a bearing or something inside the pedal assist motor very unhappy. I am not exactly kind to my bike

@kf I broke a chain at a green light before but not the whole ring 😅 (probably in my future, TBH)
