Like, it’s a splurgey occasion, but not if the food is potentially Incorrect. I don’t care how adventurous it is, if it’s too far outside parameters
One of the worst Fancy Anniversary Dinners we had with a Mysterious Tasting Menu served us rabbit without a clue in advance.
That really turned us off to Adventurous Menus because, well, we have rabbits as pets.
Like, I know, people eat them and we should go veggie or vegan but yeah

Got word that I might have a work trip to Seattle this summer. Actually sort of excitedly considering taking a train there from PDX?
Never actually done that before, but would love to do that instead of a plane. Have driven there before, but we only have one car and don't want to steal it for the week
