@maya I feel like I need to cut this picture out and stick it on a stand to use as a game piece in like a big complicated board game that has something to do with cosmic horror in an archive

Went ahead and bought this Lazarazu CD, apparently a side project of Moev (whom I adore) that I'd never heard of before last week. Ripping to FLAC right now since I couldn't find this digitally anywhere #music
Like, I don't really buy CDs much anymore. But every now and then I find something weird that doesn't show up streaming or for sale anywhere - and I'm like gimme so I can rip it
Lazarazu is pretty good, making me think 2003-era Garbage but what if from Vancouver?
@deutrino @hazelnot Yeah, good call out on the eugenics angle, it's a dangerous slope.
But also, yeah, I don't think it's a superiority / inferiority of groups of people really. I would imagine this stuff is all there in our species for good reasons of evolutionary fitness.
I think the *real* problem isn't genetics or biology - it's that our politics & culture isn't well prepared to accommodate and account for all the different shapes of brains we have.
@deutrino @hazelnot Like I know saying stuff like "evolutionary fitness" is sorta manosphere talk. 🙃 But, I'm unqualified to make eugenic judgements of humans.
I mean I haven't done deep research, but I can see our diversity got us this far. So, I can only guess that most of it's there for good reasons I don't personally understand that developed over millions of years before I was born.
