@aleen We've owned a home in NE portland since 2019, so I'm not entirely current on rents. My impression is that downtown / NW portland can be 2x the rent of the east side.

East side is more like little almost suburban-like neighborhoods vs downtown's more city-proper, but the city's so small that you can get to downtown via bike or bus in like 15-20 minutes.

@aleen There's a lot of good stuff in Vancouver, WA and Portland's just a hop & a skip if you have a car
