Still digging the ride on Alien: Earth, but there is a lil more stupidity happening than I tend to prefer in horror.
But then, the stupid is mostly from digitized kids in adult bodies. Also desperate humans. So, that's somewhat believable so far.

Like, my least favorite horror is based on "look at these idiots doing all the wrong things, you could probably do better"
My most favorite horror is "look at these clever people doing their best and what they think are the right things, but just one or two mistakes or unknown facts brings everything down"
So far Alien: Earth is more the latter than the former.
Because seriously, I want a horror narrative to disturb me. I don't want it to invite me to feel smug. I want to know that even if I were smarter and more competent than I am, all this crap on the screen could happen to me.
