The pumpkin in the middle with the hard-to-see red LED matrices is my ancient wifi pumpkin project that I started (oof) about 10 years ago.
The amazing thing is the web-based control pad still works and I can load it up on my phone to control the eyes & mouth. I can also still plug in an NES gamepad to do the same.
One of these days, I really need to tear down that wifi pumpkin and rebuild the wiring. It's all just janky dupont-socketed wires shoved onto the component pins and then into a small breadboard along with the ESP8266.
I think all the connectors are getting tired, because I have to give everything a jiggle when I turn it on again for the first time every year.
