A thing I love about #3dprinting is that I can find a really stupid idea in the morning and then usually have it in my hand before end of day.

@SarraceniaWilds I made one of those last year! It makes such a satisfying sound when it's full and you give it a real good spin. (Though sometimes the packets go shooting out, oops)

I think a part of the drag on getting my butt-in-seat for creative writing yesterday is that I just finished a 16,000 word story (which, holy shit, that's cool) and now I'm looking at what to start next. Begin a new story? Putter with ideas & world building? Do some smaller exercises or bits of flash fiction? Play a solo journalling RPG as an interlude?

I know this is also a thing I need to learn how to work past. But also I'm very, very tired this week due to a handful of not-pleasant reasons.

Also, what's long frustrated me is that almost none of the advice I've gotten ends up working, with regard to making butt-in-seat happen. I don't want to be a melodramatic special little snowflake, but my brain doesn't seem to operate in expected ways.

The executive function doesn't. The willpower circuit is burnt out. Body doubling just doubles social anxiety. I need to gently approach myself sideways, for fear of spooking me and sending me crashing off into the woods. But sometimes it works.

Got news that we may only have 6-8 weeks left with Catsby, and even that's uncertain. He's still having really pretty good days, so I'm trying to appreciate that and be as present as possible for him.

I've got a trip for work next week and I'm trying not to too fully entertain a smorgasbord of negative feelings about having to be away for those days.

Just really want to opt out of adulting for a good while, but it's not feasible.
