Was about to go outside and haul the trash cans to the backyard from the curb when I saw a coyote in the middle of the street. They started yipping and i was like okay i can deal with that tomorrow. #pdx

I'm a) disappointed the doorbell camera didn't catch they coyote as "pet" and b) i really hope the neighbors' cats are all in for the night

Just finished setting up a UPS for my homelab stuff, which I should have done a long time ago. Got everything plugged into it and got a NUT server running on my Home Assistant PI. The Synology sends me email when there's a power outage now.

I unplugged the UPS and just started cackling madly - the power company can't stop me now! Muahahaha!

@courtney Yeah, I unplugged it and was happy things kept running. But also yeah, now I have to get all the boxen shutting themselves down when the batteries look low and then actually test that that does the right thing.

Oh yay: the doorbell just told me the neighbors' cat is on our porch, which means the coyote didn't get him last night.

(Update: my wife just texted me almost exactly this, because she gets the notifications too and worries also)
