Last summer, I played Zenless Zone Zero. I really liked it, but I fell off it.
This week I tried starting it up again. Sweet merciful crap, what is any of this?
It's sort of the same thing with any of these free-to-play gacha games: they're a bewildering blizzard of currencies and limited time offers and geegaws to upgrade. Somehow I like them for limited times and then manage to entirely flush all knowledge of their systems from my brain after a very short period.
The one game I still manage to settle back into after months away is Warframe. That's not a gacha, though it still offers a few dozen collectable characters and a legion of currencies. But somehow I still retain a lot of its nonsense over time
I also really liked Honkai: Star Rail when it first came out, also fell off. Tried it again and just what the absolute crap is all this? They gave me a "welcome back" gift of currencies - but what they really need is a "here's WTF you were doing last" reorientation
Had a dream that I took apart some gadget and then forgot what screws went where when I tried to reassemble it 😱

Well, so there was a bit of a scuffle. Pretty sure Cosmo started it, but Minnaloushe is back in jail for a little while so we can have workday peace. Baby steps, cage not entirely destroyed yet
