@vonslatt holy crap that sounds rad

@mavica_again dare to be stupid ✨

@ansate i literally have plums in my icebox right now :thinkspin:

Now I'm thinking about neckband-style earbuds. These Dewalts look stupid and Tactical for Men, but I wonder if they'd actually be handy? They have built in external speakers too, so maybe good in the workshop or on a bike ride?

@jorge Ah well, we can't have nice things :sadness:

Just curious, in minecraft: how much ram and battery in a Flock camera? Is there a flash-able microcontroller? When this company goes bankrupt, will they be handy as surplus? :blobThinkSmirk:

@george Stand clear of the closing doors

Behold, my shrubs - pear, plum, asian pear. Not sure exactly what species but they're tasty

Almost as a rule, I don't buy AAA games at release or for full price ever. There's usually one or two exceptions every year. CONTROL Resonant is probably going to be one of those, assuming it runs well enough on my aging gaming rig.

@socketwench what twists my melon even more: array.length is mutable :blobsweats:

OMG, I forgot that Strange New Worlds was doing a puppet episode! I'm so geeked!

They've done a musical, an animated cross-over, and now a puppet episode - a trifecta most shows don't manage in hundreds of episodes. Man I love this show

I need to come up with examples, but I think my most favorite shows end up somewhere in the musical / animated / puppet Venn diagram.

All 3 managed by Community and Legends of Tomorrow - and now Strange New Worlds. Honorable mentions for Supernatural, Lucifer, Farscape, Fringe, Buffy, Angel.

Prestige TV has largely robbed us of the musical / animated / puppet episode trifecta and it saddens me greatly.

@cinebox Super Mario Nation, is that the new Nintendo game?

I almost can't believe how tickled I am by the idea of Star Trek with Puppets

@jrconlin From what I've seen in the trailer for this next SNW episode, something almost like that seems to happen :blobSmileSweating:

@billmerrill The folks who owned this house before us had a dehydrator. I wonder if we need one :thinkspin:

Les Orchard

dang it, do I need to set up a server?

A problem is that my lmorchard.com points at an AWS cloudfront CDN to serve up my "About me" page from S3. To do anything more fancy, I'd have to point that domain at a spendier computer.

But, I do rent a handful of dirt-cheap cloud VMs that only cost like $12/year that might just be good-enough for the task since my website ain't exactly facebook-dot-com
