Moar seasonal nonsense

Wherein Ed Zitron lays out everything that's given me angst and filled me with bone-weariness about what's happened to the industry I've loved since probably age 4

"I will never forgive these people for what they’ve done to the computer, and the more I learn about both their intentions and actions the more certain I am that they are unrepentant and that their greed will never be sated. I have watched them take the things that made me human β€” social networking, digital communities, apps, and the other connecting fabric of our digital lives β€” and turned them into devices of torture, profitable mechanisms of abuse, and find it disgusting how many reporters seem to believe it's their responsibility to thank them and explain why it's good this is happening to their readers."

@glitzersachen That line was literally eye watering for me

@discatte I think they came out rather well! I got the models from over here on printables

Which is creepier? Hollow-eyed Santa or Dead Santa?

Santa looks a little more foreboding from this angle

@banjofox2 I think there are some 3D printer farms with TikTok shops who are cranking these out, but I got the models from this designer's patreon! patreon.com/c/happyflexipets/h

Got a couple of weeks of PTO coming up, feeling senioritis for 2024

@jalefkowit I feel like the last 5 years have been like that thing where you take a piece of plastic and bend it back and forth and it gets increasingly pale until finally it snaps

So I started Metaphor: Refantazio a few weeks ago and then I bought SMT V: Vengeance on deep discount. Reasonably, I thought I'd be in the mood for some whacky demon and horror infested JRPG.

Then my brain goes, "hey, what if we really got back into Warframe?"

It doesn't help that Warframe runs great on my linux gaming install and that they offered me a 75% discount on in-game currency immediately upon login.

I go through phases of enthusiasm with this game, but I will never not love their weird kind of 70s prog rock / stoner rock album cover aesthetic throughout the entire game.

FWIW, I did have a small urge to dabble in Infinite Nikki - but that decidedly does not run on Linux (thanks anti-cheat).

But, one can play dress-up in Warframe, too.
