It is funny how bold crows will get, once they've sussed out that you're polite, have treats, and won't chase or grab after them.

There are a few that live in the blocks around my house who will brush my shoulder with a wingtip before landing just a foot or two in front of me. Some of them will hop along with me even after getting a treat and make little happy noises.

@calcifer I really wish I could go back to my 20-something-self and tell me to buy a) a crock-pot and b) a toaster oven. Maybe an instant pot too, but I don't know if they were a thing yet then.

I could have eaten so much healthier when I didn't super care what I ate but thought cooking was too much to bother with. I would have eaten like vegetable chili and/or homemade burrito bowls every night

@calcifer Like, there was a period where my roommates and I ate nothing but pizza bagel bites for like a month. With an occasional trip to Wendy's. I probably would have also been happy with just like rice & beans the whole time, had I known how to make it (which sounds dumb but meh).
