@selectric I showed this toot to my wife and, as a fellow Floor Time connoisseur, she agrees fully
Sometimes, itβs injurious and painful having pets with knives for fingers

Well, that's certainly one way to share your location.

@cederbs It makes me want to grab my Nintendo DSi and hit the rails
@cederbs If Amtrak were smart, they'd be edgy and partner up with Subway Surfers!
@cwebber beware, i live!
run! run! run! coward!
@george Yeah, I'll probably never get around to it, but I really want to hack around with the CAN bus to see if something would work
I have really enjoyed using my BOOX Tab Ultra C, but two things are really annoying me a couple years in with it:
cases seem to be semi-unobtanium since case-makers have moved onto newer products and the book-style case it came with is disintegrating
they put a camera bump on a 10" tablet. Meant for "document scanning" but whatever. I use it for writing, so without a case it wobbles when I set it on a table.
I kind of want to get some calipers, measure the depth of the camera bump, and crazy-glue a block of PLA to the back just to even it out
This tablet's still working fine and I use it almost daily for journal writing at least. I've produced over 370 week-daily 3-page handwritten journal entries in PDF with it, so I think it's proved itself useful.
I'm kind of eyeing up something smaller and more A5-sized for writing if/when this thing every gives up the ghost.
I do hope it lasts a bunch more years, though, since the 10" e-ink format is pretty great for reading PDFs and tech books
I may also go back to fountain pens and nice paper journals for writing, if I could get into a good scanning habit. Hoping to make more progress on training a handwriting recognition model to ingest my writing
@chuck I should try throwing together a design maybe. I found a case on printables.com which fits but is really bulky.
Would also be nice if it were magnetic, since that's how the manufacturer's case works. I wonder if I could pull some shenanigans with encapsulating some sheet magnets, mid-print?
I saw the three dots appear in Slack next to the name of someone in my management chain - and I said, out loud, "Something's coming"
@Mnemonic yo way yo, home va-ray!
