Alright, well that was slightly tricky, but I managed it without a support ticket on Fastmail:

1) Rename second account from me@lmorchard.com to lmorchard2@fastmail.com - which they allowed in settings

2) Delete alias me@lmorchard.com on second account

3) Delete the domain lmorchard.com from the second account

4) Add the domain lmorchard.com and alias me@ to my primary account

5) Triple check that my MX, CNAME, and TXT records for lmorchard.com were all correct

All the renaming and deleting shenanigans in that specific order turned out necessary to ensure the right things were freed up at the right points in sequence.

Can't add domain to first account while another account has it. Can't remove domain while aliases are still using it. Can't remove alias while account is still named after it. A minor fox, chicken, corn puzzle

@GeoffWozniak I've been curious, but I bailed out partway through season 1. Seems like Last of Us does the "people are the real monsters" thing other zombie shows do but also "oh and also the zombies are monsters too" as an innovation

I wonder if anyone's pulled off a solarpunk zombie story? Like, yup, zombies happened, the world as we knew it ended, but then people eventually worked together and rebuilt and the zombies are just kind of a background threat like bears

One small but important addition to my lil Fastmail / Pobox thread: Fastmail bought Pobox in 2015 and I didn't notice much of anything until last year when they sunset it. 😅 And even when they sunset it, things kept working as before. Just in a slightly awkward configuration I didn't like - but whatcha gonna do with a legacy service? I'm still pretty pleased with Fastmail overall

Idly trying to reopen the books on a few webdev side projects from 4-5 years ago.

The ones that used build tools are all apparently irretrievably broken unless I rewrite a bunch of crap. Like, bunches of NPM dependencies are just... gone?

The ones where I went no-build and just used ES modules directly in the browser and committed vendor modules to the repo still work fine.

Welp, so it goes, same as it ever was, yadda yadda 🤷‍♂️
