Hmm, been having a pretty decent time playing Clair Obscur via Game Pass cloud streaming. I wonder if I bought it on Steam, would play better in a local install? Timing on those parries seems tricky
Kinda sucks that Game Pass doesn't support Linux for local installs, but it's not at all surprising.
Also been playing DOOM: The Dark Ages via Game Pass streaming. Performs pretty well? But then I'm not playing on high difficulty at all. Likely to never buy that outright since it really doesn't seem like $70 worth of video game to me
I think what helps me for Game Pass streaming is I have pretty good gigabit internet and I live in a city on the West Coast US.
Sometimes it gets janky and freezes, but I can go for a few hours forgetting that it's not a locally installed game. So, it seems worth it for that to treat all the games as an arcade and none of them as a purchase commitment
It also really helps that I managed to pay for like 18 months of Game Pass in advance at a very good discount. Gonna be sad when that runs out this October 😅
@edox Eternal was cool and I finished it, but the “weapon puzzle” bit of it felt like not-Doom to me. But yeah, seems like every thing is worth waiting for a discount. (If only Nintendo would discount games)
