That thing where a home networking issue is apparently resolved by going to the basement and staring menacingly at the equipment

Apropos of the puking cat, I dropped Catsby off at the vet's this morning.

Ironically enough, today he was super happy and chirpy, seemed to be feeling great. So of course I had to ruin his day by cramming him in a carrier.

Update from vet on Catsby: While bright red blood in vomit is abnormal, it's not super serious. He did get an abrupt change in food and also ate the handle from a plastic garbage bag.

When he puked up the plastic, the blood was probably from temporary stomach irritation and not a more serious problem. X-ray showed nothing foreign in his guts.

Good prognosis so far and sounds like I go fetch him soon, hopefully to keep him away from plastic (good luck to me)

@calcifer @X00001 Yeah, one issue we had with X10 was it turned out our neighbors were nerds too and we all had the same kit. We were controlling each others' lights at one point before we went outside and met each other 😅

@ansate oh, a #pdx fediverse meetup, you say? I need to leave my hermitage more, and a weekend day would give me less excuse to stay shut-in.

I'm near Alberta Park, but not like any park is all that far by bike or bus for me

Catsby seems to have had a pleasant afternoon, which is a nice change for a day that started with a vet trip

In advance of dinner, I have dumped dry black beans, stock, and a diced onion into the instant pot. Now I can't get any work done because nnnggghh I want to eat what's making the smells

Oh yeah and there may have been some oregano and bay leaves that found their way in with the beans too. Just adds to the distraction
