A social service like Discord but the sole interaction is for groups of friends to just make weird autistic noises at each other periodically

@genehack Yeah, but this would be like that but without all those pesky features like chat with words and pictures

@requiem I feel like even when I loved Apple and Mac OS X around 20 years ago, every time an app was Mac-only, I was like "ew, looks like a trap" and I looked for something else

Me, in a meeting. As you can see, I am a very serious person.

Also, Miss Biscuits is settling in very well

@maya then i clearly need to move more of them into view of my webcam!

@mavica_again This is one of my favorite shirts!

@requiem Yeah, I think I'm just weirder / more paranoid than a lot of folks. I also hop computers a lot, so I always kind of prefer web tools or at least something that uses a common data format

So, 89X (88.7 FM) in the Detroit / Windsor area just went back to playing alternative rock.

My radio was basically super-glued to that station all through high school. Now it's basically gen-x oldies 😅

Oh but HOLY SHIT THEY ARE PLAYING **THE TEA PARTY** :flan_headbang:

89xradio.com/

Because 89X was / is in Windsor, there were a bunch of amazing Canadian alternative bands they played who weirdly never took off in the US. So there was a bit of an alternate universe thing going on there

Oh but now it's banjo / stomp-clap-hey music time on 89X, which I'm less enthused about

Can we blame O Brother, Where Art Thou? for the rise of banjo-driven stomp-clap-hey music we had for awhile there?

@mce Oh man, like yeah I also adored the Tragically Hip! But as soon as I went away to college only as far from the Canadian border as Central Michigan, no one knew what I was talking about!

@kevinspencer heh, holy crap did I buy so many O'Reilly books
