🪱 Robert, the AI scraping industry has assailed my personal Linkding service with 26,887 distinct internet protocol addresses. I'm concerned that my fail2ban installation will be unable to compensate
Oof, I'm up to 58962 IPs blocked, all trying to scrape my lil Linkding install by hitting the search form with every permutation of tags I've ever used.
This install has only about 30,000 bookmarks that date back to about 2002, many of which are dead links.
This scraping effort is just... stupid.
@zrail Nah, at this point I'm looking to see how close to the firewall I can block the general request pattern. Even serving up the anubis code would flatten my server I think
Great googly moogly, I'm up to 79468 IPs blocked. How are they still finding more?
I mean, the bonkers thing is that, at this point, absolutely none of these requests are getting through to anything but a 429 status code.
I haven't even bothered looking at where these IPs are coming from, but I might tomorrow if it keeps up.
Maybe they're residential proxy IPs for some scraper service? I've heard that lots of folks using "free" VPNs open themselves up to, in turn, have their IPs used as exit nodes for shady operators
🪱 Robert, I have removed vast swaths of Brazil, Vietnam, and the continent of Africa. The attacks on my personal infrastructure appear to have been abated for now.
Hahaha, they released the 3D model for the Trump / Epstein sculpture. #3dprinting
For years, I've had a vocal stim that goes something like "nights-a-roomba!"
I babble this sometimes when I say goodbye to something or someone.
I just remembered where it came from - it's what the alien prisoner in the beginning of Another World says when you break out of the cage
@jim yeah, surprisingly great quality for novelty! Nice materials, pretty heavy weight, doesn't feel like "fast fashion" at all
@sdwilsh usually, i check an "only on build plate" box for organic supports that seems to solve most of my issues
Really looks like a tentacular evil is seizing them. But also a transporter accident? I may try reprinting with different filament #3dprinting
@tankgrrl (we're bingeing TNG this morning, so...)
