Finally getting around to hooking up the assemblage of retro game consoles, DVD / VCR, stereo receiver, and big CRT TV we have in the basement.

Suddenly have an urge to learn KiCad so I can build the "smart" composite A/V switcher that I've mused about for years.

ESP32 + MAX4315 + CD4051B x 2 + a bunch of RCA jacks - this is what googling suggests might be the lego parts I need?

Ultimately, between an A/V switcher and a bunch of smart plugs (or a smart power strip) I want to be able to tell Home Assistant "it's SNES time" and all the needfuls happen

I think i also saw once upon a time that Ben Heck did an A/V switcher with bus switches or relays and it sounded gnarly

I have also found gadgets that take a ton of composite A/V inputs and spit out 1 HDMI with a remote control, but I'm hooking all this up to a circa 1987 JVC CRT TV
