@benbrown I have a daydream every now and then of going to freegeek or thrift shops, scavenging working screens from otherwise broken laptops, and turning them into single-serving framed pieces. Like something that plays Star Trek: The Motion Picture at one frame per hour. Or just runs an endless generative art program. Or shows pictures from random open webcams from around the net

@kf @Ashedryden i'd second yeti, I have this 18oz Rambler that I think was $35? It's got a lid with a small mouth for chugging and then that comes off for a wider mouth for filling, and all of it's easy to clean
Whenever I see someone moderately famous get banned on Bluesky, I remember back to when Seth Abramson wrote (on a site that no longer exists) that being suspended on one (1) Mastodon instance was "a harrowing tale" 😂

@pixelpaperyarn FWIW, the main thing that works for me is daily journal pages to catch todo items and brain spew, which occasionally buds off into long-running topical pages. Sometimes I use inline tags that sort of do something similar - e.g. I can later search for all the "#storyideas" to find, well, story ideas. I long ago stopped trying to use All The Features or do anything particularly intensive like Zettlekasten or whatnot.
