Like, you remember all those TV commercials for drinking milk and eating cheese? Picture that, except taken to AI levels of hype. Dairy farms in every municipality instead of data centers. Dairy as an ingredient in everything - we went out for cocktails and my boulevardier had half-and-half in it.

Finally watched Project Hail Mary. Had skipped it til now, because Andy Weir's "anti-woke" comments had grossed me right the fuck out.

But, I don't understand how you can be in that orbit and produce this story. This was like Star Trek level optimism in the face of terrible realities, resolved via inter-species diversity and friendship.

Like, did he miss his own point here? or that there was a point to it at all?
